Assistant Nurse to the Emergency Department in Skellefteå

The Skellefteå local healthcare area includes the Emergency Department, Center for Surgical Operations, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, and Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these aim to provide good and close care.

About 70 employees work at the Emergency Department in Skellefteå. We are open 24/7, all year round, and receive acutely ill and injured patients who need care. This means that we work around the clock, both weekdays and weekends. The patient volume over a year is approximately 32,000 visits. We are currently in an exciting planning phase for a completely new emergency reception.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employee in the Emergency Department, you will constantly meet new patients with all types of ailments and accidents. It is a stimulating job that requires good collaboration, as well as a good approach between employees, professions, and other clinics.

As an assistant nurse in the emergency department, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that meets the patients' care needs together. Along with others in the team, your tasks include sampling, casting, monitoring vital parameters, nursing, and assisting colleagues with various patient management.

At the Emergency Department, nurses, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries work together with doctors from different clinics. Teamwork is an important tool for creating a value-based meeting in healthcare between patients and healthcare personnel. We collaborate with all departments and clinics in the hospital in our daily work, so the ability to cooperate and think holistically is important. The patient is at the center of our operations, and we emphasize the importance of the region's established values.

The position involves shift work around the clock (including night shifts), and we work in a schedule model.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a certified assistant nurse education that includes emergency care, and we prefer candidates with several years of experience in hospital care. Experience in emergency care is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Good collaboration skills are crucial, and we are looking for someone who is proactive, has good communication skills, and has an interest in emergency care. We seek someone who is meticulous and responsible, a person who wants to help develop our work at the emergency department together with us.

We believe that you enjoy variation in your work and have the ability to take significant personal responsibility. We are looking for someone who sees the value of good collaboration and contributes to this with their engagement. You enjoy working under pressure at times and have the ability to be flexible.
