Care Assistants Wanted at Eriksdal in Umeå

The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Eriksdal is a municipal care and nursing home in Holmsund, Umeå municipality's first star-rated residence.

It is located close to nature by the sea with a view of Ljumviken's beach. The care and nursing home has a beautiful outdoor environment with a closed and an open courtyard with terraces used for pleasant socializing during the summer.

We are now looking for two care assistants to join our team!

Your Responsibilities

You will assist our residents with personal care, administer medication to those in need, and support during meals and social activities. You will document actions and health status. The care needs vary, and we work person-centered to help individuals based on their different conditions. In the role of care assistant, you have an important task to provide high-quality care and support. You will administer medication and insulin and document daily. You will perform delegated tasks from a nurse or other professional.

Working Hours

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and has experience in nursing work and elderly care. Knowledge of dementia and experience working with people with dementia is an advantage.

We place great importance on personal suitability, pedagogical and empathetic ability. You demonstrate a strong commitment to both residents and the organization in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently and are patient and resourceful. You have a good ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals.

To communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
