The Role of Business Developer

Region Jönköping County is an organization where improvements are constantly taking place, and we are now looking for someone who wants to further develop our work with efficient financial processes. We seek someone interested in public organizations where the goal is to provide residents with the best possible service, and where collaboration between operations and finance is crucial for achieving good results.

As a business developer, you will be responsible for driving and supporting the development of financial processes, working methods, and tools. Your mission includes:

• Identifying needs and areas for improvement within the financial area.
• Initiating and driving development efforts together with the finance director/process owners, process managers, unit managers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring that financial processes are appropriate and digitally support the operations.
• Contributing to requirements specification during system development and procurements.
• Proposing, driving, and following up on change projects.
• Evaluating the effects of improvement efforts and working towards common working methods within the finance function.

You will play a key role in ensuring that our finance function meets today's and tomorrow's needs. You will contribute to developing the strategic work within the financial area and collaborate closely with management and colleagues at various levels in the organization. You will report to the finance director and be part of the finance department's management team.

The position is a permanent full-time employment, with a start date according to agreement.

You will belong to the finance department of the Regional Management Office, where you will be part of a wonderful and professional team with good cohesion.

The finance department of the Regional Management Office is responsible for the governance of financial processes in Region Jönköping County. The department consists of a finance team that works with region-wide strategic financial issues and a finance service unit that handles ongoing accounting, accounts receivable and payable, as well as healthcare accounting. Your workplace will be in the Region's House on Husargatan in Jönköping.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a relevant university or college education. You have experience in business development, preferably from a complex organization. We would also like you to have experience in process mapping and process development. Many of the projects you will be involved in with us are related to our digital services and system-related solutions, so we consider it an advantage if you also have experience leading projects or working groups in this area. It is also a significant advantage if you have high digital competence and an understanding of how to help us drive our digitalization into the future.

If you already have a good understanding of financial processes, that will be beneficial in the role. You have the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution. It is an advantage if you have practical experience working with technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and/or artificial intelligence (AI).

As a person, you are development-oriented and motivated to drive change. You take responsibility, are self-driven, and find it easy to structure and advance processes. Good collaboration is important to you, both in your workgroup and with other operations in Region Jönköping County. In your work, you create trust, conditions, and joy at work. You are good at seeing consequences and the long-term effects and adapt your actions accordingly.

Your communication style is clear; you adjust your expression depending on who you are talking to and ensure that the message gets through. You enjoy working with complex issues and have a good ability to analyze and solve complicated situations. You are good at planning, creating structure, and keeping timelines.

You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. We also prefer that you have a B driver's license.
