The Park Unit is an Important Part of Urban Development

We manage and develop the city's parks, playgrounds, natural areas, lakes, and waterways. On behalf of other departments/units, we also carry out ground maintenance, green care, winter road maintenance, maintenance, and new construction of land facilities. We belong to the Street Unit, which is responsible for the municipality's streets and roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, playgrounds, and public spaces, maintenance of municipal swimming areas, forests, agricultural land and water, nature conservation and nature-related outdoor activities, as well as traffic and parking issues. The Street Unit also handles issues related to our ports and boat places, squares, and flagging.

Job Responsibilities

Brålanda and Frändefors need reinforcement during our most intensive months. We are looking for park workers who can perform various tasks such as lawn mowing, trimming, weed removal, planting, and maintenance of flower beds, manual cleaning, and tree care.

Qualifications

Additional qualifications include gardening education or training/experience deemed equivalent by the employer. Familiarity with machinery and chainsaw certification is an advantage.

A driver's license (B) is a requirement.

Conditions

The positions involve daytime work from Monday to Friday. The seasonal work is time-limited between the period of April - September 2026.

Before employment as a park worker, a background check according to the Education Act (2010:800) is required. You can request a background check at polisen.se before employment.
