Beautiful Strömma Naturbrukscentrum AB is located in Marks municipality and has good commuting opportunities. The school offers agricultural education at the high school level with a focus on farming, horses, and animal care. The operational activities cover approximately 250 hectares of arable land, 65 hectares of pasture, 100 hectares of forest, 55 dairy cows, and 70 ewes.

About the position

As the farm manager, you will be responsible for and participate in the daily operations and development of our school farm. You will plan crop production, supervise machine operators, and ensure that machinery and land facilities are kept in good condition. You will have financial responsibility for the agricultural operations. Since your work will also involve working with students, we place great importance on your personal qualities. You will work closely with the school management and strive to build a well-functioning team.

About you

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of agriculture, education, and business economics. You have leadership experience and can both see and bring out the best in each person. You collaborate with teachers and instructors for optimal utilization of the school farm. You have a natural drive to develop the operations and contribute to creating a positive work environment. To succeed in this role, it is important that you are organized and communicative, have a good ability to identify areas for improvement, and prioritize and make well-founded decisions.

Qualifications

· Practical and theoretical experience in operations and machinery within agriculture.

· Experience in leadership.

· Post-secondary education in education and/or agriculture.
