Job Responsibilities

Do you want to work as a project manager in a unit that plays a significant role in the development of Gothenburg? We are currently looking for a project manager for our unit of Facilities and Properties.

The unit was established at the beginning of 2025 through an organizational change where two departments were merged to meet an increasing need for investment and renewal. The unit is responsible for projects related to water and wastewater technical facilities and properties, such as water treatment plants, reservoirs, booster stations, pumping stations, underground facilities, as well as stormwater ponds and flood areas.

As a project manager with us, you will have a commanding and driving role, primarily responsible for the project's execution until the facility is completed and handed over to operations. Projects vary in size, complexity, and execution form, and are often conducted in close collaboration with operations and production activities, as well as external contractors and consultants.

Your role includes, among other things:

Leading and coordinating projects.
Acting as a client towards designers, consultants, and contractors.
Being responsible for monitoring time, economy, quality, work environment, and sustainability.
Preparing decision-making documents, service statements, and other documents for internal decisions.
Coordinating and communicating with the operations organization, internal specialists, contractors, consultants, and external actors.
Participating in the procurement of consultants and contracts in collaboration with the procurement officer.
Ensuring good cooperation between project and operations activities.

You will drive multiple projects simultaneously and be an important part of building work methods and collaboration.

Qualifications

To apply for the position, you need to have:

A university degree with a technical focus, civil engineering, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Several years of experience in project management within water and wastewater facilities, properties, or technical installations.
Experience leading contract projects and collaborating with contractors and consultants.
Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
Experience with water and wastewater technical facilities and experience with multidisciplinary infrastructure facilities.

Meritorious

Knowledge of contract law.
Knowledge of AMA Construction, AMA AF, and MER.
Experience working according to LOU/LUF.
Experience from the public sector.
Experience working on or with security-classified facilities.
Experience with project management tools and digital map or facility systems.

We are looking for someone who is structured, responsible, and has the ability to drive projects forward independently. You work systematically, follow up on your work, and ensure good quality in deliveries.

Conditions

The position is security classified and requires Swedish citizenship as well as an approved security check consisting of, among other things, a background check, security interview, and alcohol and drug tests.
