We are now looking for a project engineer (consultant) for an assignment at the Swedish Transport Administration, Investment Western Region, Road Unit 4 in Gothenburg. In the role of resource consultant, you will be part of various road projects where you support the project organization and relieve project engineering-related tasks.

The assignments are mainly conducted in the planning phase, but work in other stages of the investment process may also be relevant depending on the needs of the projects.

As a project engineer, you work closely with the project manager and contribute to the planning, coordination, and follow-up of road projects within the Swedish Transport Administration's investment activities. The role is operational and requires an independent and structured working method, where you actively support the project's implementation from early stages onwards.

Your responsibilities include:

• Support the project manager in steering and following up on projects regarding time, cost, and content
• Participate in the development and follow-up of project-controlling documentation
• Work with scheduling, follow-up, and reporting
• Monitor the project's economy and prepare financial documentation
• Participate in requirements, quality, and risk management
• Assist in the development of assignment descriptions and request documents
• Provide administrative project support, such as meeting minutes, system updates, and reports

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in your CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. Have a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) in engineering, economics, and construction, or equivalent education and experience deemed equivalent by the Swedish Transport Administration.
2. At least 1 (one) year of experience within the last 3 (three) years of working on road/railway projects as a project engineer, contracting engineer, project economist, or equivalent role deemed equivalent by the Swedish Transport Administration. The resource consultant must have had at least 80% employment rate in the requested role.
3. Have current and relevant experience working with calculations, budgets, scheduling, and risk management in infrastructure projects through the Swedish Transport Administration's administrative systems, such as C7, Project Portal, ProjectWise, and Exonaut Risk, or equivalent systems deemed equivalent by the client.
4. Very good experience working with the Office suite.
5. Have relevant work experience in project administration in infrastructure projects, or other work experience deemed equivalent by the Swedish Transport Administration.
6. Good Swedish in speech and very good Swedish in writing.
7. Driver's license for passenger car.

The assignment is to start immediately and will last up to 15 months from the date the contract comes into effect.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional 6 months + 6 months.

Scope: Estimated workload for the assignment is 80 - 100 percent of annual working time, which is 1,700 hours.

The location for the resource consultant is Gothenburg. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's office 5 days a week.
