About the position

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a team leader with large and complex paving contracts within the Central region at Peab Asfalt. We operate over a large geography with a focus on Mälardalen.

We are looking for a driven and quality-conscious team leader who wants to help develop our paving operations.

You will work in the field together with your colleagues on various assignments within your area of work. Working as a paving worker means that both the workplace and working hours vary, which requires some flexibility.

Tasks include:

• Screed operator
• Documenting daily work
• Planning the day's work together with the team's supervisor

The asphalt season is most intense from April to December when you will work longer days. This is compensated with time off with retained salary from Christmas until mid-March the following year.

The employer usually provides accommodation in hotels when working away from home.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience as a paving worker, preferably with experience from infrastructure projects such as roads and airports.

In the role of team leader, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that daily work is carried out in a structured and efficient manner. You are a central part of the operation with a focus on accuracy, productivity, and quality.

The position as a paving worker requires that you are practical and have an easy time collaborating. We are looking for someone who is responsible and driven to do a good job. You have a good ability to plan your work and solve problems that arise.

You will work together with others in a team, and you depend on each other to succeed. You find it natural to see your work as a team effort where you care about delivering a well-executed job together with your colleagues.

You should have good physical fitness as there is heavy work involved, and you should enjoy working outdoors for most of the year.

Requirements

• Driver's license B
• Experience in paving work with pavers
