Summer Substitute in Elderly Care at Nacka Senior Center

Your Mission

Nacka Senior Center is a meeting place for seniors and the municipal alternative for elderly care in Nacka municipality. Our four senior centers are located in Finntor, Ektorp, Saltsjöbaden, and Saltsjö-Boo, and all residences have both a somatic and a dementia department. All residences offer social activities, care, and daily activities. Each residence has kitchens with their own chefs and meal assistants who prepare food from scratch. Based on a health-promoting approach, we create a safe and secure environment where participation and the individual needs for quality care are guiding in all interventions. As a summer substitute at Nacka Senior Center, your work focuses on ensuring that the elderly can live a dignified life and feel secure. The customer's needs are always the starting point for interventions, and we follow their wishes for support, care, and nursing. The most common tasks include nursing, administering medication, light wound care, supervision, and responding to alarms. Documentation is also an important part of your work.

Working hours for day, evening, and weekend shifts are scheduled at varying times between 07:00-21:00. Night shifts are from 21:00-07:00.

As a summer substitute, you will take over a regular employee's fixed schedule. The summer period runs from mid-June to the end of September.

Your Experience

For this position, you must have:

• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• You must be at least 18 years old

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Completed or ongoing education in health and care
• Experience in elderly care
• Worked with somatic and dementia patients before
• Documentation and computer skills

We Offer

As a summer substitute at Nacka Senior Center, you are employed by the Stab Competence Supply, which is responsible for coordinating and quality-assuring the staffing of care personnel during short-term absences and monthly substitutes. You may be offered the opportunity to work as a temporary substitute before and after your summer substitute position.
