Quality Service North, part of the ore refining, has world-class laboratories that deliver high-quality and mission-critical analysis results through customized solutions to all of LKAB's operations. We consist of about 55 dedicated employees working at five different workplaces: Physical Laboratory, Quality Control, Chemical Laboratory, Quality Technical Support, and a management team. We collaborate closely with a special team from Maintenance stationed at the workplace. Together, we ensure that we maintain the highest standards!

Your role

Within the section North Ore Refining Quality Service and the workplace Quality Technical Support, we are now looking for a development engineer to strengthen our team. The section works to provide analyses of materials from mine to port.

The work is done in collaboration with other engineers at the workplace and with engineers from other parts of LKAB; a large part of the work is cross-functional. The position also includes participation in, among other things, ISO work. The workgroup includes other engineers who work with quality in various roles.

What you bring with you

You are a good analyst and can easily see opportunities and solutions to the questions that may arise. You are communicative and cooperative within different workgroups and actively contribute to quality work. You take responsibility, can lead your own projects, are flexible, and work independently.

In addition to this, you need to have:

  • A university degree with a relevant focus or equivalent experience. Engineering and natural science education is considered suitable.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver's license, which is a requirement for all positions at LKAB.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in development, laboratory, and quality work, including planning of e.g., sampling, analyses, and evaluation.
  • Experience in the industry, mainly within the mining and raw materials industry.
  • Knowledge in chemistry, mineralogy, statistics, method development, and measurement uncertainty calculations.
