The Energy Technology department at Luleå University of Technology develops technologies and processes for sustainable energy supply, with a particular focus on biofuels and energy-efficient solutions for industry and society. We are now looking for a project manager who wants to drive and further develop research within hydrogen value chains, integration between hydrogen and biomass, as well as advanced thermochemical processes such as gasification, pyrolysis, and sustainable production of fuels and chemicals. The role includes leading research projects in electrolysis technology in an industrial environment, developing and demonstrating technology concepts together with national and European industry partners, and disseminating research results in highly ranked forums.

You will work closely with researchers, PhD students, and partners within LTU Green Fuels and energy science, participate in various R&D activities, and contribute to the development of education. The work involves broad collaboration and active participation in an international and dynamic research environment with a strong focus on the energy transition.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • You should have an academic degree in physics, energy technology, or equivalent
  • You should have previous experience in administration
  • You have strong communication skills in both spoken and written form and have good knowledge of both Swedish and English
  • Experience in writing, coordinating, and leading applications for nationally and EU-funded research and development projects
  • Experience in international research collaboration
  • You are accustomed to reading and understanding technical drawings and documentation

Meritorious

  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Experience with MS Project or similar planning tools
  • Experience in research and development projects
  • Knowledge and experience in research and development within hydrogen, gasification, and pyrolysis of biomass

Scope and Location

We are looking for a project manager for a fixed-term full-time position with the possibility of extension. The location is in Piteå, with some work taking place in Luleå. Start date as soon as possible.
