The Care and Welfare Administration in Östersund Municipality is now seeking care assistants for Home Care Erikslund!

Home Care Erikslund is located together with four other home care groups, managers, and coordinators, which is facilitated by close cooperation between the units. We are looking for 3 care assistants for permanent full-time employment with the possibility of a lower employment rate. Working hours are scheduled for day-evening and weekend shifts.

Your New Job

As a care assistant in home care, you work with personal care and service in citizens' homes. You work to promote physical, mental, and social health for the citizens you assist. Your mission is to support the citizen and facilitate daily life. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care tasks such as specific care and rehabilitation. The assignment also includes being a designated care contact, which means being specifically responsible for certain citizens and their care. At Erikslund Home Care, you collaborate with a wonderful team of care staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, district nurses, coordinators, and managers. An important part of your tasks is to document in our operational systems.

Common Tasks

• Assist citizens with personal hygiene and basic care
• Support during transfers
• Delegated health and medical care tasks such as administering medication, insulin, RIK, stoma, tube feeding
• Preparation of light meals
• Care of various indwelling devices (e.g., urinary catheters)
• Simple wound dressing
• Dishes and light cleaning tasks
• Accompanying, guiding, and relieving family members
• Care documentation

Your Competence

Requirements

• Trained care assistant
• Driving license B
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Good computer skills
• Experience using the phone as a work tool
• Previous experience in home care
• Experience administering medication, insulin, tube feeding, and stoma care
