JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an operations technician, you will be an important part of the team that ensures the municipality's water and sewage facilities function and meet the environmental and safety requirements set. Your primary responsibilities will include operational, maintenance, and supervisory work on water and sewage facilities, including sampling of drinking and wastewater. In addition to this work, participation in various optimization and development projects, operational work related to the municipality's water pipeline network, and streets will also occur.

Your work will be varied and involve a lot of personal responsibility. You will work closely with the team leader and other operations technicians. The operations team currently consists of two technicians, and the work is coordinated by our team leader; this position will expand the operations. We actively work on improvement initiatives, and your role in our joint development is important. For the right person, there are good opportunities to gradually take on more responsibility. On-call duty every 5th week may be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you are responsible and self-driven. You are used to planning and structuring your work efficiently, take your own initiatives, and drive work forward. The job involves regular contact with contractors, suppliers, and residents, which requires you to be service-oriented. Since the workgroup is small, your ability to collaborate is especially important.

We are looking for someone with a technician education focused on operations/process as well as control and regulation technology or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of electrical systems and PLC programming, as well as repair skills and previous experience in water and sewage treatment, is advantageous. You who are applying are versatile in the technical field and enjoy work that encompasses everything from small practical problems to development, process optimization, and projects. You are interested in technical and environmental issues. A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Ödeshög Municipality applies individual salary setting. A probationary period may be applied during the initial 6 months.
