The position and tasks

The position is a one-year temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

Your main task as a school nurse at the Language Center is to conduct the initial reception and health conversation with Botkyrka's newly arrived students before, during, and after school placement. You will collaborate and further develop the operations with school management and the caseworker in the reception process and maintain close cooperation with guardians. You will base your work on the governing documents in the Health and Medical Services Act and the Education Act and guidance for student health. You will document in the journal system ProRenata.

Depending on the number of newly arrived students in the municipality, the position will be shared with a regular school. Currently, the assignment is split 50% at the Language Center and 50% at Kvarnhagskolan. The assignment at the regular school involves traditional school nurse tasks such as: student health, health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, open reception, health promotion and preventive work, as well as collaboration with school management and student health staff. At Kvarnhagskolan, you will collaborate with a colleague.

You who are applying to us

Requirements: - Licensed nurse with specialist education in health and medical care for children and adolescents or open health and medical care, alternatively school nurse education via the University of Skövde.

Meritorious: - We would like you to have experience from similar work or other work within healthcare aimed at children and adolescents. - We see that you are accustomed to using digital tools, and it is meritorious if you have experience documenting in the journal system Prorenta. - Documented further education in MI. - Experience meeting newly arrived individuals is meritorious. - Multilingualism is meritorious.

You should be responsible and able to structure and organize your work independently but also have good collaboration skills. You find development work exciting and work individually tailored. You take the initiative to develop your own competence to also develop the operations. You have empathy in meeting other people and a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents. Meeting guardians and external contacts is also part of the role, and therefore you need to be able to communicate easily and meet people. You always maintain a professional demeanor and are good at meeting children and adolescents where they are.
