Your Responsibilities

As a specialist nursing assistant with us, you will work with care tasks but also act as an expert in the field with dedicated time for guidance and follow-up. Your contributions are crucial for creating a meaningful and secure environment for our elderly, and we look forward to welcoming you to our dedicated team!

The work includes both social interaction and practical care tasks. Your care tasks include, for example, assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions. Care needs can vary widely, from lighter assistance to more extensive care interventions such as tube feeding, tracheostomy care, and wound dressings.

You will work closely with nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to ensure that individuals receive the help and services they need. We work based on IBIC (Individual Needs in Center) and a salutogenic approach, which means we focus on bringing out the residents' own abilities and looking at what is healthy.

You are also a contact person, which means you participate in welcome conversations where you plan support measures together with the individual. You are responsible for implementation plans and document in the Treserva system. You continuously participate in our collaboration meetings where both home care and physiotherapists and occupational therapists are present. Together, you have a dialogue regarding your contact persons.

Your Workplace

Östgötagatan's secure housing is centrally located in Linköping and covers the Vasastaden area and nearby addresses. The secure housing is close to the travel center, which makes it easier if you take public transport to work. Parking spaces are also available near the facility.

You will be part of a team that currently consists of about 45 employees. We offer home care for both residents within the secure housing and for individuals in the surrounding area.

In the facility's premises, there is a meeting point that offers daily activities as well as lunch service. Here, home care nurses, coordinators, and two managers are also present. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists come once a week. We are an organization that wants to be at the forefront and continue to develop.

Your working hours are during the day, evenings, and every other weekend.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with an approved education as a specialist nursing assistant and who has their professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. For the position, it is required that you have experience working in support, care, and nursing. Experience in home care is an advantage.

It is advantageous if you have experience working with cognitive disabilities such as neuropsychiatry or dementia. Experience in palliative care, the IBIC working method, working from a low-stress approach, and knowledge of a salutogenic approach are also advantageous.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is advantageous if you have experience documenting in journal systems. For the position, you need to be able to cycle.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and push your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations.
