Registered Nurse for Elderly Care Facility

Who are we?

Health and Medical Care Organization 1 and 2 are area-based teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, and physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Area 1 covers elderly care facilities on Kolonigatan, Sågvägen, and Ribbingholmsvägen in Skärblacka, Nils Åbergsgata, and Bryggaregatan. Area 2 covers elderly care facilities on Bygdevägen in Östra Husby, Silverringen, Trumpetaregatan, Plåtslagaregatan, and Lindövägen.

The nurses we are looking for will be employed in one of the units in area 1 or area 2. If needed, you will also assist in the other facilities in the area.

We are a competent and supportive workgroup with extensive experience that we are happy to share and develop together.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse, you have a health and medical care assignment, with primary and secondary responsibility for the residents living in the facility. The role of primary nurse means you have the main responsibility for a number of residents, and as a secondary nurse, you have a consultative responsibility for a larger number of residents, for example, when your colleagues are off or during weekends.

Your tasks include preventive measures, making medical assessments, and providing medical and nursing interventions. Common tasks include medication management, wound care, sample collection, issuing delegations, palliative care, and more. You will participate in the unit's work on developing quality and patient safety.

Furthermore, you will follow up and document according to applicable legislation and our quality registers. You will be an important part of the collaboration with your colleagues, relatives, case managers, unit managers, and external contacts.

Who are you?

We are looking for a registered nurse. We prefer that you have experience in elderly care.

As a person, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You possess personal maturity and a positive attitude.

You are clear and pedagogical in your communication, as the work is largely consultative. You have good collaboration skills but also enjoy working independently. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form and hold a B driver's license.
