Vimmerby Municipality is responsible for care and nursing close to people's everyday lives. Within the area of care and nursing homes, there are four residences: Borghaga and Vimarhaga in Vimmerby town, as well as Kvillgården in Storebro and Vidala in Södra Vi.

We are now recruiting two unit managers for the care and nursing homes Borghaga and Kvillgården.

About the role

This is not a role where everything is already set, but a role where your leadership makes a real difference. For the right person, the assignment offers both responsibility, meaning, and the opportunity to build something sustainable over time.

As a unit manager within care and nursing homes, you have overall responsibility for the operation: staff, work environment, economy, quality, and development. You report to the operations manager and are part of a management team where collaboration and shared responsibility are central.

This recruitment concerns Borghaga, a larger care and nursing home with several units. The role requires a present and everyday-oriented leadership, where you are visible, accessible, and actively address questions, needs, and areas for improvement in the operation.

Your focus areas will include:

• creating stability and structure in everyday life
• following up on quality, routines, and documentation
• contributing to a culture where collaboration, clarity, and trust are an obvious part of the work

Your profile

This is a role for you who want to take responsibility, be close, and make a difference in an operation that is truly important. You are a confident and stable leader who thrives in a hands-on leadership role. To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to be clear without being harsh, attentive without becoming unclear, and have the ability to prioritize and maintain direction even when circumstances change.

You distinguish between person and matter, maintain calm in pressured situations, and build trust through presence, structure, and respect. For you, leadership is a craft – something that happens in everyday life, in dialogue, follow-up, and consistent action.

The role requires that you have:

• completed upper secondary education
• managerial experience with personnel and work environment responsibility
• work experience from care and nursing operations
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• driver's license (B)

We consider it an advantage if you have an academic education in, for example, care, social work, or leadership and/or experience in a similar role as well as previous responsibility for budget and economy.
