About the Job

We are looking for someone with a burning interest in glass craftsmanship who wants to preserve the cultural heritage that lives on through glass production in Kosta. Here, you will be offered a varied job with both glass and people, at one of Sweden's oldest glassworks.

Together with your team, you will work to take care of our visitors and our audience.

The job involves sales, welcoming visitors to our gallery, and conveying information to our sellers about existing exhibitions and works.

You will also be responsible for booking customers and visitors in our booking system for the various glass experiences we offer.

The position requires that you can work on-site both weekdays and every other weekend. Evening work may occur.

Responsibilities

As a gallery host, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Provide a professional, service-oriented, and welcoming approach to our customers and visitors.
• Be responsible for administrative tasks such as selling art glass, handling emails and phone calls, receiving and managing booking inquiries, and following up on daily bookings.
• Present our ongoing art glass exhibitions to customers and visitors.
• Support our sellers by providing information about current exhibitions and works.
• The role also includes some handling of shipping and handing over glass to customers.

Skills and Qualifications

We see that you are empathetic, unpretentious, cheerful, positive, and outgoing in your approach and want to contribute to creating a good experience for all our visitors.

You are responsible for ensuring that the experiences and tasks at our place are carried out professionally.

It is an advantage if you have education or experience in sales, tourism, glass history, or equivalent.

We see that you are a team player who works customer-focused together with your team. You have a good understanding of customer needs, are service-oriented and solution-oriented, and can work independently with your tasks.

Language requirements: Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. German is an advantage. Additional language skills are a plus.

Computer skills: Must be able to work fluently in programs such as the Office suite.

Knowledge of Enterprice, Citybreak, and I-ticket is advantageous.

Location: Kosta

The position is based at the exhibition operations of Orrefors Kosta Boda AB, Kosta Glassworks.

Scope: Seasonal employment with the possibility of extra hours.

Salary: Hourly wage.

Start date: Recruitment is ongoing.
