About the Job

We are looking for someone with a passionate interest in glass craftsmanship who wants to preserve the cultural heritage that lives on through glass production in Kosta. Here you will be offered a varied job with glass and people at one of Sweden's oldest glassworks.

You will work together with your team to take care of our visitors and audience.

The job involves sales, welcoming visitors to our gallery and glassblowing studio, as well as managing our guided tours where you are responsible for sharing information and history about the place and the craft.

You will also handle booking customers and visitors in our booking system for various glass experiences that we offer.

The work takes place on both weekdays and weekends. Evenings may occur.

Responsibilities

In the role of guide, your main tasks will be to:

• Provide a professional, service-oriented, and welcoming approach to our customers and visitors.
• Be responsible for administrative tasks such as sales, handling emails and phone calls, receiving and managing booking inquiries, and following up on daily bookings.
• Present our ongoing art glass exhibitions to customers and visitors.
• Guide visitors and tour groups through Kosta's long craft history. In this role, you will convey knowledge using relevant terms and concepts related to glass craftsmanship during demonstrations, gallery tours, and presentations of our glass production.
• The position also includes some handling of shipping and delivery of glass to customers.

Qualifications and Skills

You are responsible for executing the experiences and ensuring that tasks are carried out professionally.

It is advantageous if you have education or experience in sales, tourism, glass history, or similar.

We see that you are a team player who works customer-focused together with your team. You have a good understanding of customer needs, are service-oriented and solution-oriented, and can work independently with your tasks.

Language requirements: Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. German is an advantage. Additional language skills are a plus.

Computer skills: Must be able to work fluently in programs such as the Office suite.

Knowledge of Enterprice, Citybreak, and I-ticket is advantageous.

Location: Kosta

The position is based at: The visitor operations at Orrefors Kosta Boda AB, Kosta Glasbruk.

Scope: Seasonal employment with the possibility of extra hours

Salary: Hourly wage according to collective agreement

Start date: Recruitment is ongoing.
