Ersta Hospital is part of Ersta Diakoni and is Sweden's largest non-profit hospital with a clear value base – to see the whole person. For 175 years, we have provided healthcare in Södermalm, Stockholm, but we welcome patients from all over the country. Here we offer high-quality, specialized healthcare with both breadth and expertise. We are a university hospital unit and conduct research, education, and development in collaboration with Karolinska Institute. We are growing to help more, and since 2023, the hospital's capacity has tripled and eight new services have started.

The geriatric clinic consists of three geriatric wards, a department for specialized rehabilitation, and a cognitive reception. The specialized geriatric care at Ersta Hospital is characterized by a holistic view of the person that includes all aspects of life. The team consists of doctors, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, and administrators with high competence in geriatric care.

About the role

As an occupational therapist, you will be part of a team and plan the patient's rehabilitation. The tasks include ADL assessment and training, testing and prescribing assistive devices, cognitive assessment, and reporting to various specialist teams such as primary care rehab or neuro teams. You will support your colleagues in assistive device issues or similar needs.

You will rotate between our geriatric ward and specialized rehabilitation.

Your experience

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. We view positively if you have experience from geriatric or somatic inpatient care or primary care rehabilitation, but we also welcome recent graduates to apply to our experienced team!
