Siggebogården Care and Nursing Home offers care and support with a somatic and dementia focus, as well as short-term and respite care with a total of 129 places. We are part of Lidingö City’s elderly care managed by ourselves. Our mission is to provide competitive elderly care where we want to be the obvious choice for Lidingö residents in need of care, support, service, and assistance.

We have been an academic care and nursing home since 2021, which means that care, support, education, and development take place in collaboration with Marie Cederschiöld University. Since 2015, Siggebogården has been certified by Silviahemmet. This means that all employees undergo training to meet the needs of those with dementia and their relatives in the best possible way. At Siggebogården, we want to be the obvious choice for employees who want to develop both themselves and the organization. We invest in our employees through competence development and training in active employee participation.

We belong to the Department of Care and Social Services, which is one of our six departments in Lidingö City. About 800 employees work with us to support our residents through all stages of life. We work with elderly care, social psychiatry, disabilities, and individual and family care. We always put the individual's needs at the center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse at Siggebogården, you will work in one of our units focused on somatic care, dementia care, or short-term and respite care. Together with a team consisting of doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and care staff, you will work to provide good and quality-assured care and support to the residents.

Your work includes, among other things:

  • Being involved in the responsibility for patients' care, health care, and well-being by noticing needs within the framework of municipal health care responsibility.
  • Guiding and educating care staff in health care work.
  • Keeping up to date with research and development in the field of health care.
  • Actively participating in quality assurance and development work.
  • You will also function as a supervisor for nursing students we receive for practical training (VFU) from Marie Cederschiöld University.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained nurse with Swedish authorization. Previous experience in elderly care is an advantage. You have a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing. Furthermore, you need to have good computer skills and good leadership qualities by being calm, empathetic, secure, and flexible in your professional role.

As you will collaborate in many different forums, you need to be a self-driven person, enjoy providing service, and have good collaboration skills. For us, your personality is important, and we work based on the values of being engaged, professional, and proactive. We expect you to contribute with a great deal of commitment, a professional attitude, and to take the initiative to continuously develop yourself and the organization based on your personal characteristics.

The city applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
