KALMAR PASTORATE SEEKS CHURCH CUSTODIAN

Kalmar pastorate has about 22,000 members and includes five active congregations, a crematorium, cemeteries, and administrative support functions, totaling about 90 employees.

The pastorate has a rich and varied worship life, and the organization encompasses a diversity of meetings and activities. We are now looking for a new church custodian for the S:t Johannes congregation.

You will:

We are looking for:

a church custodian who will primarily serve at worship services, church ceremonies, concerts, etc. Duties will also take place in other churches and chapels within the pastorate. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the supervision and maintenance of church inventories, conduct regular inspections of relevant properties' areas, spaces, and facilities, and ensure that church rooms and other congregational venues are kept tidy and welcoming both on weekdays and weekends. Other work in the congregational activities according to the congregation's needs, as well as some administration, is also included in the position.

a person who enjoys working with and meeting people in our church. Whether you meet someone in joy or sorrow, you do this in a professional manner. You are flexible and have a high level of service. You are someone who can build trust with both worshippers and colleagues, and you have good collaboration skills with both employees and volunteers. The work requires you to be able to independently prioritize and plan your work in a structured and efficient manner. You have a practical mindset and a sense of order. The position also requires that you see solutions instead of obstacles. You must be a member of the Church of Sweden and share its values; it is advantageous if you are practically inclined or have previous experience in custodial work or other roles within the Church of Sweden.

• A driver's license (B) and access to your own car are required.

Duration, working hours, and start date:

The positions are permanent employment, 100%, with a start date according to agreement.
