Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for two road workers for operations and maintenance at our establishment in Vetlanda. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your mission as a road worker

If you are interested in maintaining and caring for roads, this is the job for you. The work mainly consists of operational and maintenance-related tasks such as minor asphalt repairs, signage work, damage to road equipment, mowing, and brush clearing during the summer, as well as snow and ice control during the winter. In addition, we constantly perform road inspections to detect deficiencies and plan and implement measures - all to create safe and secure roads for our citizens. This means that as a road worker at Svevia, you will have summer and winter preparedness as part of your job.

The positions are permanent full-time employment based in Vetlanda, starting as agreed. Normal working hours are Mon-Fri 07:00-16:00, with evening and night work possible depending on circumstances. At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting.

Who are you?

In our work to develop both our team and operations, you are important to us, which is why we value your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who has the ability to drive and plan their work independently, is engaged, and has the desire to learn and develop within Svevia and the road industry. You value and contribute to a good atmosphere and care about a good working environment and high safety.

To be considered for the role of road worker, we would like you to have:

· Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

· C driver's license

· YKB

· Good computer skills and an interest in digital working methods and processes

Experience from the contracting industry with a focus on operations and maintenance or construction work, as well as APV, is highly meritorious. If you have experience with truck-mounted cranes, that is also an advantage for the position.

Part of something bigger

Svevia is today Sweden's largest operations contractor. In operations and maintenance, we handle, among other things, summer and winter road maintenance for half of the state road network. Many municipalities, private companies, and road associations hire us to take care of their roads and outdoor environments.

With us, you contribute to a larger whole. We plow for the family heading to the mountains. We ensure that the business community's goods transport reaches its destination and keep streets, squares, and parks clean and tidy. Additionally, we protect lives on the road through our offerings in traffic arrangements.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where tangible results are created with steaming asphalt machines, large snowplows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional skills, you can make a difference on the road. And we always prioritize safety - both with care for your own working environment and the safety of others.

For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your knowledge in your specific area or move on to a supervisory position. Together, we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
