Operational Buyer Wanted in Jönköping

We are now looking for an Operational Buyer for a client in Jönköping. The position is initially on a consultancy basis for nine months with very good chances for extension or direct employment with the client. Desired start is immediate.

About the Position

As an operational buyer, you will ensure that material availability is secured at the start of production in a resource-efficient manner. You will work closely with production planning to optimize resource utilization. Your main tasks will include releasing purchase proposals, monitoring and registering order confirmations, making delivery follow-ups, approving invoices, and maintaining and updating ordering data such as safety stock and order quantities.

Furthermore, the position involves daily communication with suppliers where you take the initiative to participate in supplier meetings, both digital and on-site at the supplier's location. You will also be involved in improvement efforts regarding the company's results on targets related to delivery reliability, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

You will be part of a friendly and engaged purchasing team and report to the Purchasing Manager.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with an interest in purchasing and preferably some previous experience in the field, either from work or through studies/internships. To thrive and succeed in the role of operational buyer, you should have a good understanding of information and material flows, or a strong willingness to learn this in practice.

You are accustomed to working with digital tools and business systems. Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, is an advantage. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.

As a person, you are solution-oriented and have a good ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Furthermore, you are meticulous and structured in your work approach, and you tackle challenging situations with positivity and joy. We also appreciate that you are self-driven and have an easy time collaborating with others, driven by the desire to succeed together towards common goals. Since the role involves many contact points, we also hope that you are relationship-building and communicative.
