Operational Buyer for Consulting Assignment in Huskvarna

The assignment initially extends to the turn of the year with the possibility of employment for the right person.

About the Assignment

In the role of operational buyer, you will be an important part of the client's growing purchasing and sourcing organization. Your main responsibility is to ensure the delivery of materials and services according to planned needs for production. The business is characterized by a high degree of projects, and you will work with purchasing for both prototypes and series production of technically advanced solutions.

You will be part of a team of several buyers and will closely collaborate with suppliers, planning functions, and several project offices. The assignment places high demands on structure, collaboration skills, flexibility, and the ability to act quickly and solution-oriented in everyday work.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Purchasing of materials and services based on planned needs
• Order placement and delivery monitoring
• Preparation of cost estimates
• Follow-up and development of supplier performance, for example, through root cause analysis of late deliveries
• Ongoing feedback to customer responsible and other internal stakeholders
• Handling of deviations and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
• Price negotiation in some cases
• Optimization of material and information flows

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience in operational purchasing, preferably from a manufacturing industry with project and production environments. You have a good understanding of what drives purchasing in a supply chain and are used to independently managing supplier activities and making quick decisions to ensure good delivery precision.

As a person, you are communicative, meticulous, and responsible. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, have an unpretentious attitude, and are solution-oriented with a clear focus on goals and results. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate professionally in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. Technical understanding, such as reading drawings or technical documentation, is an advantage.
