Do you enjoy working outdoors, have a good eye for landscaping, and thrive in leading young people who may be trying out working life for the first time? Then this job is for you.

As a park worker, you will belong to Gagnef Municipality's technical department. Together with carpenters, painters, boiler attendants, property managers, operations technicians, and caretakers, you will work to ensure that Gagnefsbostäder's tenants, as well as the municipality's citizens and visitors, have a pleasant environment to live and spend time in.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the maintenance of the municipality's public environments and Gagnefsbostäder's green areas, as well as the green areas located at the municipality's properties such as schools and preschools. In addition to maintaining plantings, hedges, and weeding, you will also serve as a supervisor for the municipality's summer working youth for 6-8 weeks. The youth are 15 and 16 years old and work for six weeks, divided into two-week periods. This is to give more young people the chance to gain work experience and new knowledge.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has worked with landscaping, park work, or something that the employer deems equivalent. You should have experience working with youth or have been involved in youth activities before. You are accustomed to taking responsibility and take pride in your professional performance.

To succeed in this position, you need to be flexible and have good collaboration skills with colleagues and external contacts. You should be able to work independently and in a structured manner and take your own initiatives. You should be able to read and follow Swedish manuals and instructions. A B driver's license is required.

Conditions

The positions are seasonal work at 100%, from April to September 2026, with a start date in April 2026 or as agreed.

Before employment, a valid extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record must be presented.
