About us

Kläppen Ski Resort is one of Sweden's largest mountain resorts located in the Sälen mountains. We are driven by development and a passion for skiing. Together with our 300 employees during the winter season, we are characterized by a family atmosphere, strong cohesion, high service levels, and great engagement among our staff. Kläppen offers varied skiing and world-class snowparks. Our guests consist of skiing families with children and young people of all ages. This year, we are expanding the number of slopes with 3 new runs, bringing the total to 41 runs. Another exciting news for the upcoming season is that we are also building a brand new 6-seater lift. This lift will replace our long-serving 4-seater Järpen. Additionally, a brand new conveyor lift will be added from the valley to further streamline the flow for our guests.

About the position

We are now looking for a new team member for our workgroup of about 50 people. The position of Kläppenvärd is part of the Sports Department, which also includes ski school, activities, children's concepts, and events. Together, we are about 100 people.

The goal of the Kläppenvärd department is to create a reputation for delivering the best service in the mountain world. Guests should always meet a service-oriented, cheerful, and positive host who puts the guest first. To achieve our goals, we work with training and set individual goals and development plans.

Job responsibilities

As a Kläppenvärd, you are responsible for ensuring that guests receive excellent and personal service at our facility. Your main tasks will involve assisting children and adults during the boarding process at the lifts and ensuring that the lift ride is as safe as possible. You will also work as a ski pass controller, cross-country ski track host, and host at some of our activities, as well as help with various tasks around the facility. As a Kläppenvärd, you will have varying working hours, as the lifts are open daily from 09:00 to 18:00. The employment is a seasonal position from December to April. Salary is according to agreement.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Kläppenvärd, you must be social, cheerful, outgoing, and flexible, with a burning interest in people. You should of course enjoy being outdoors in all kinds of weather, as well as have great patience and good physical condition and strength. Since most of Kläppen's guests are families with children, it is also important that you enjoy interacting with children. We consider a love for skiing or snowboarding to be a given.

To make your winter as enjoyable as possible, the above qualities are very important to us.
