Job as a Sanitation Technician in Gothenburg

VRS Mitt AB

Västra Götalands län, Göteborg

Previous experience is desired

to apply for the job

Location: Sisjön | Work in Gothenburg and Västra Götaland County

Every workplace has that person.

The one who can fix their own car, get a pressure washer to start in a crosswind, and at the same time be one of the most appreciated technicians out in the field.

The problem?

Such people cannot be everywhere. And when something breaks down, other employees often look at the machine as if it just suggested something illegal.

That’s why we are now looking for another person who believes that machines are meant to work – not to be blamed.

What does the job really entail?

You will be based in our facilities in the Sisjön industrial area but will have all of Västra Götaland County as your workplace.

The job consists of two parts – and both are equally important:

1. Make sure things work

● Service and troubleshooting of pressure washers with gasoline engines (mostly Honda GX – no rocket engines)

● Maintenance of Interpumps and hot boxes

● Basic vehicle and trailer preparations

● Some 12-volt work (nothing that requires a lab coat)

● Preventive maintenance – so we can avoid the phrase “it was working just now”

2. Doing the job for real

When the machines are running well, you work as a sanitation technician out in the field:

● Practical sanitation and special cleaning work

● Sometimes dirty, often tricky, always real

● Field repairs when something breaks down in the middle of a task

Here’s the important point:

This is not a job where you “just screw things”.

You are part of the team, not remote support.

Who are you?

You are probably the one who:

● Gets irritated when people say “it’s broken” without having looked

● Has fixed something “temporarily” that has then worked for five years

● Is not afraid of dirt, noise, or responsibility

● Can tinker, think, and work practically – sometimes at the same time

You don’t need the right education.

You need the right attitude and functioning hands.

Background in industry, shipping, agriculture, contracting, operations/maintenance, or similar is a big plus.

Bonus if you’ve ever heard:

“How the hell did you get that going?”

What do you get with us?

● An unusual role that is actually needed

● Base in Sisjön, work in Gothenburg, Västra Götaland County

● Variety – some days you’ll be fixing things, other days you’ll be cleaning

● Colleagues who are genuinely happy to see you

● Freedom under responsibility (we measure results, not minutes)

● A company that prefers to solve problems rather than write emails about them

About us

Do you recognize yourself? Get in touch.

Even if you don’t “usually apply for jobs”. This is not a regular job either.
