RESPONSIBILITIES

As a process engineer in drinking water, you will provide qualified support to our operations organization responsible for the municipality's waterworks. You will play a central role in optimizing, developing, and monitoring the processes of the waterworks to meet established quality goals as well as applicable laws, regulations, and permits.

Your duties include monitoring changes in raw water quality and analyzing trends related to the waterworks' ability to produce healthy and clean drinking water. You will prepare decision-making materials and improvement proposals and actively participate in the planning and implementation of various development and improvement projects. The work also includes risk assessments according to HACCP, work with water protection areas, and the development and follow-up of emergency water plans.

You will serve as the department's drinking water expert, which entails responsibility for monitoring developments in the field and disseminating knowledge and expertise within the organization. In this role, you will have many points of contact and collaborate with operations personnel, consultants, project managers, contractors, and authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree as a civil or university engineer in road and water, chemical engineering, environmental and energy technology, or another post-secondary education that we assess as equivalent. Experience in the water and wastewater sector, food industry, or process industry is an advantage.

As a person, you are responsible and analytical with strong problem-solving skills. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively, are proactive, and can see your role in a larger context. You are communicative and actively contribute to a good collaborative climate. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Good knowledge of the Office suite and a B driver's license are required. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, and knowledge of English is an advantage. The position may eventually be subject to security clearance.
