Laboratory Technician Our road laboratory in Furuby outside Växjö has the main task of conducting production and quality control of materials such as asphalt, unbound, aggregate, and road materials as well as binders in the areas of roads, streets, bridges, railways, and airfields. In the laboratory, we perform material analyses and ensure that the products meet standards and requirements. Our skilled teams in milling, paving, tank coating, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.
As a laboratory technician at Asfaltbolaget, you will be an important part of our work with laboratory analyses of asphalt and aggregates, where accuracy and quality are always at the center. You will perform measurements and tests of stone, asphalt, and bitumen, as well as conduct sampling in the field. The work mainly consists of mechanical analyses and requires both precision and a genuine interest in technology.
We offer a structured and pleasant working environment with varying workloads – intensive periods with high tempo for several months, followed by calmer phases that allow for recovery and planning.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory analyses according to established rules, routines, and processes
Contribute to good collaboration within the team and with customers
Ensure quality and accuracy in all work tasks
Qualifications:
Driver's license B and access to a car
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Basic reading comprehension in English
High school education, preferably with a technical focus
Experience working digitally and with digital tools
Basic understanding of mathematics
It is meritorious if you have:
Previous experience and knowledge in the asphalt and aggregate industry
