Göteborgs Symfoniker AB is looking for a Production Coordinator
Göteborgs Symfoniker AB is a wholly owned subsidiary within the Västra Götaland region. The operations are conducted in culturally protected premises at the Concert Hall at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg and is one of the largest cultural institutions in Västra Götaland. The Concert Hall hosts a large number of events annually in the form of concerts and conferences, both organized by us and rented out to external organizers. Concerts with our own orchestra, Göteborgs Symfoniker, constitute the main part of the concert activities. Göteborgs Symfoniker is Sweden's National Orchestra, an orchestra with international brilliance.
Göteborgs Symfoniker is at the forefront of activities aimed at children and young people. The advertised position is a permanent 100% employment within the project Side by Side, the world's largest music camp for children and youth. Side by Side takes place every year in June when approximately 2000 participants from around the world gather in Gothenburg for a week. It is a grand camp where music is at the center along with the social values of creating a meeting place where children and young people can meet, make connections, and develop together.
We are now looking for a Production Coordinator to join our fantastic team!
Responsibilities
As a Production Coordinator, you will have overall responsibility for the camp's infrastructure, flows, and logistics. Through analysis, planning, and execution, you will ensure that all phases of the camp are well thought out. This includes accommodations for participants, venues, food, transportation, and internal communication. Everything must work smoothly during the bustling and intensive days in June.
You will work closely with the artistic project manager who also leads the work in the project group you are part of. Working hours are during office hours, but during more intensive periods of the project, varying working hours may occur. The position also includes other tasks outside of Side by Side, such as hosting guest performances, producing smaller concerts, or assisting when needed and possible.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree and extensive experience in processes and logistics for large events, festivals, camps, or similar. Education in production management, process and logistics coordination, or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer is advantageous. You also have very good computer skills and find it easy to adapt to new systems.
As a person, you have a broad interest in culture in all its forms.
You also have the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The camp's international context requires that you have a very good command of English, both spoken and written. A driving license (B) is a prerequisite.
Application
As we begin selection and interviews immediately, we would like to receive your application as soon as possible.
Start Date
June 1 or by agreement
We offer you a job in an exciting environment with a developing mission where you contribute to a positive overall experience of Göteborgs Symfoniker. We warmly welcome your application!
