Skanska has entered into a collaboration agreement with Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB (SKB) for the expansion of the existing final repository for short-lived radioactive waste (SFR) in Forsmark.

The project involves an expansion of the storage space and is expected to be completed by 2030. The expansion of SFR is unique and complex in many ways as it requires collaboration from many different technical competencies. By working together, the client and contractor find the specific solutions that are best suited for the project. Teamwork and willingness to collaborate are key to success.

Planning Specialist for our Collaborative Production Team

As a planning specialist for production in Forsmark, you will work with overall planning for the production phase and be responsible for establishing a complete production schedule as well as coordinating and analyzing it.

In this role, you will be part of a planning team where, with the help and input from colleagues and block managers within production, we create a schedule primarily for tunnel driving, earthworks, and concrete construction underground.

The production schedule is a very large and important part of the project schedule. You will ensure that production planning is included in the project schedule and participate in optimizing production with time impacts. You will work closely with the design team and in collaboration with the client.

Your tasks will include:

  • Documenting and reporting changes to the production schedule divided into cause, effect, and consequence
  • Visualizing the schedule in 3D models with key milestones
  • Being responsible for coordination, analysis, and updates
  • Developing knowledge-enhancing measures for employees in the project
  • Continuously communicating the schedule to relevant stakeholders

The location for the role is Forsmark, and Skanska offers accommodation near the workplace, Hotel Igelgrundet.

Are you sharp on planning and analysis?

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a structured, systematic, and analytical manner. You have a good ability to maintain good relationships and are skilled at collaborating in projects. At the same time, you also need to be able to set demands and follow up. For this, you need to be a good communicator both verbally and in writing and open to others' views and knowledge. To succeed in this role, you need prior experience in executing larger and complex construction projects.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in project planning and execution of large construction or industrial projects
  • University/college education
  • Good IT skills in: MS Office and Primavera P6
  • Driver's license B
  • Preferable if you have worked with: Asta Power Project, Microsoft Project
  • Preferable with experience in other roles within construction production
