We are now seeking, on behalf of our client, an experienced Construction Supervisor for Uppsala. This is a replacement recruitment where you will step into an established business with varied projects and significant personal responsibility.

The role suits you who enjoys being a supervisor, likes to build, and wants to continue developing in the role over time – not as a quick step forward, but as an important and long-term function in production.

About the role

As a supervisor, you have operational responsibility in production and are a key person on the construction site. You lead the daily work, make decisions about how production should be carried out, and ensure that the work is conducted efficiently, safely, and with high quality.

The projects are varied and mainly include renovation contracts (ROT), but also new construction and extensions. Project sizes typically range from approximately 2–20 million SEK. The working method is characterized by collaborative contracts and close cooperation between production, site manager, and other functions.

Previous and ongoing projects include, for example:

• Tenant adaptations
• Restaurants and commercial premises
• Smaller new constructions
• Renovation and reconstruction of cultural and museum properties
• ROT projects within both public and private properties

You will be able to take responsibility for several parallel projects.

Your main tasks

• Lead and plan the daily production on the construction site
• Responsibility for skilled workers and coordination of subcontractors
• Decision-making regarding construction methods, workflows, and production
• Monitoring of timelines, quality, and work environment
• Participate in financial monitoring and resource planning
• Ensure that the work complies with applicable requirements within quality, environment, and work environment (KMA)

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has at least 3–4 years of experience as a supervisor and who is confident in the role. You are “comfortable in your own skin,” enjoy responsibility, and have a strong practical understanding of how construction production works in reality.

We would like you to have:

• Several years of experience as a construction supervisor
• Experience from renovation contracts (ROT) and/or reconstruction
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A good understanding of economics, timelines, and production
• A valid driver's license (B)

A background as a skilled worker, such as a carpenter, is considered highly meritorious. Those who have worked their way up from the ground and understand the entire workflow have good conditions to succeed in the role. Further education in life is positive – but the most important thing is that you know the craft and production.

Experience solely from traditional residential new construction is less relevant for this role.
