JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a project manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and following up on projects related to the development of public spaces in connection with exploitation projects.

The projects include, among other things:

  • Development of roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and technical infrastructure in new areas
  • Creation of parks, squares, and other public environments
  • Development of new public spaces in existing and new parts of the municipality

You will drive the projects from the planning/design phase to completed construction and handover to the operations and management organization. The work is carried out in close collaboration with developers, consultants, contractors, and internal functions within the municipality.

Job Tasks:

  • Project management of public space projects in development areas
  • Establishment and follow-up of schedules, budgets, and quality
  • Coordination between different actors and stakeholders
  • Procurement of consultants and contractors according to LOU (together with the municipality's procurement unit)
  • Ensure that projects are carried out according to established goals, agreements, and governing documents
  • Reporting to steering group and management
  • Political preparation

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a relevant university degree in civil engineering, road and water, landscape architecture, or equivalent
  • Has experience in project management within construction, infrastructure, or municipal community building
  • Has good knowledge of contract law and public procurement (LOU)
  • Is structured, solution-oriented, and has a good ability to drive projects forward
  • Is communicative and enjoys a role with many points of contact

Experience from working in municipal operations and exploitation projects is an advantage.
