Recent Graduate IT Security Engineer Wanted for Exciting Role in Information Security

The client is a leading company in marine technology specializing in the development of surface vessels and submarines. Their operations span the globe, and you will find colleagues from the company on all continents. The client continuously develops, adapts, and improves new technology for a safer society, and we are currently looking for a recent graduate with an interest in information security and IT.

About the Role

As an IT Security Engineer, you will be part of the Onboard Security & IT Architecture section, which currently consists of 20 colleagues focusing on surface vessels and submarines. In this team, you will work together to provide customers with a safer society through various solutions to combat intrusion and manipulation in different systems. As an IT Security Engineer, you will be involved in the entire development phase, from requirements to verification and delivery.

Selection of Responsibilities

Interpret and apply regulatory requirements and laws related to the construction of submarines
Identify and ensure compliance with requirements related to IT and information security
Document and follow up on all security-related activities and decisions
Support IT architects and systems engineers throughout the development phase, including configuring firewalls and other security systems
Participate in the verification process and contribute to the final documentation submitted to the customer

Who Are You?

To thrive in the role of IT Security Engineer, we believe it is important that you are a structured and organized person who is comfortable working independently but also works well in a team. You pay attention to details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture of a project. Since the role involves many points of contact, we believe you should have good communication skills in both spoken and written forms.

You also need to have:

Post-secondary education in computer science, IT engineering, or equivalent
Swedish and English proficiency in both spoken and written forms
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the Security Protection Act, which requires Swedish citizenship and a clean criminal record

You have previously worked in information security
