Norrqvarn has been an attractive tourist destination for many years during the summer, with guests both nationally and internationally visiting to experience and enjoy the Göta Canal, nature, activities, good food, and create wonderful memories. Norrqvarn is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. We offer a variety of accommodations: hotel rooms, glamping tents, unique stumps, and mushrooms. The summer restaurant serves all day, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. On-site, there is also the popular mini canal, ice cream kiosk, and bike and canoe rentals.

We are looking for a handyman who wants to help us keep Norrqvarn in top shape during the summer season.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing maintenance of the hotel, buildings, and common areas
• Lawn mowing, basic gardening, and maintenance of outdoor environments
• Care of outdoor furniture, umbrellas, and terraces
• Minor repairs and troubleshooting indoors (e.g., furniture, doors, fittings, light bulbs)
• Assisting with rearranging for events, conferences, and weddings

We are looking for someone who

• Is handy, self-driven, and solution-oriented
• Has practical experience in maintenance, property management, or similar
• Enjoys working both outdoors and indoors
• Is responsible, meticulous, and flexible
• Has good teamwork skills and a sense of service
• Can work evenings and weekends during the season
• Can communicate fluently in either Swedish or English

Experience?

We are looking for someone with previous experience in what may be required in an all-round position where you need basic knowledge to perform your tasks independently and competently. Support and guidance are available, but you must be confident in your skills and able to help determine how and where to troubleshoot, address, and prevent common problems. Professional experience is a plus, but personal competence can also go a long way.

Requirement for functioning commuting: either own car or walking/cycling distance.
