Construction Engineer at MTA

Your Responsibilities

As a Construction Engineer in civil engineering, you will have a varied and developing role with significant responsibility. You will drive and support projects throughout the entire process - from the initial inquiry to the completed bid and further into production.

Your tasks will include:

• cost estimation and bidding work
• project and production planning
• project economics and follow-up
• procurement and contract management
• project administration and documentation

You will work closely with the site manager and the rest of the project organization and be an important link between technology, economics, and production. The role involves both strategic and operational work in both larger and smaller land and civil engineering projects - where you actively contribute to ensuring quality, profitability, and good customer relationships.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we prefer that you currently work as a construction engineer, project engineer, estimator, or in a similar position - and are now seeking new challenges. You may also come from a role as a foreman or site manager and wish to take the next step towards cost estimation and project management.

You have a relevant educational background, such as a university degree in construction and civil engineering, a vocational education, or equivalent experience from the industry. You also have experience working with cost estimation in civil engineering projects, such as development areas, water and sewage facilities, roads, bridges, or other infrastructure projects.

As a person, you are comfortable working in project environments and thrive in a role with both responsibility and collaboration. You are structured and analytical, while also having a solution-oriented approach when challenges arise. You work independently, are communicative and administratively strong, but are also a team player who appreciates collaboration and understands that successful projects are built on joint efforts.

To be considered, you should have:

• Experience from working in civil engineering, preferably practical experience.
• Experience in cost estimation, procurement, and project economics.
• Good knowledge of construction law.
• Good knowledge of the Office suite.
• Driver's license B.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Additional Information

Location: Varberg or Halmstad.
Start: By agreement
Duration: Permanent with a probationary period
Working hours: Mon-Thurs: 6:45 AM - 4:00 PM and Fri: 6:45 AM - 2:45 PM
Salary: Individual salary setting
