Sales Associate Wanted at ICA MAXI HANINGE

ICA MAXI HANINGE is one of Stockholm's largest grocery stores with about 250 employees. We reinvest in the store and our staff to meet customer expectations and to be one of the best employers in Stockholm. We take pride in offering one of the market's largest assortments of groceries and knowledgeable and engaged staff.

For the summer of 2026, we are now looking for sales associates for temporary positions in the manual Fish and Deli departments, at Söderbyköket, and at our restaurant SNAP. We want to provide our customers with that little extra in customer interaction and are therefore looking for engaged employees with a high sense of service and a passion for cooking.

Job Responsibilities

At Maxi Haninge, we want to be the best in Sweden at customer interaction – therefore, your most important job is to take care of our customers and meet them with the highest possible customer focus. This means being available for the customer, acknowledging and greeting them, and helping to solve both big and small questions with the aim of exceeding customer expectations.

Working in our manual counters in Fish and Deli means selling fresh products such as delicacies, fish, and seafood to our customers over the counter. Working in our production kitchen means working with open fresh products and making sandwiches, dishes, and sauces that we offer to our customers in the store and at the restaurant. In the work at SNAP, production is a large part of the job, such as assembling salads and cooking hamburgers, as well as keeping the restaurant in top condition for our guests. Your tasks in all departments also include sales, customer service, restocking, and following processes and routines regarding food safety.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a great interest in food, good culinary knowledge, and enjoys sales
• Has a very good sense of service, as customer interaction is a large part of the job
• Is communicative, engaged, and has a positive demeanor
• Is flexible and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Is meticulous, responsible, and has good teamwork skills
• Can communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have education in kitchen/restaurant and/or experience working with open food products.

To be considered for the position, we also see that you:

• Are available to work during the period of weeks 23-35
• Can start your introduction in May, and it is desirable if you can work extra in May to get acclimated before the summer period
• Can get here and work according to our working hours, which vary between 06:00-22:30 (day, evening, and weekend shifts)
• Are at least 18 years old

Temporary positions during the period of June-August with approximately 25-35 hours on average per week, for at least 6 weeks this summer.
