Healthcare Assistants Wanted for the Mobile Emergency Unit (MAE)
The Mobile Emergency Unit (MAE) is an on-call and assessment unit that offers telephone advice, doctor visits, and emergency home visits for patients residing in NSP's catchment area.
The unit is available every day of the week from 08:00 to 22:00.
The Mobile Emergency Unit is located at St. Göran's Hospital area in Kungsholmen and belongs to the Norra Stockholms Psychiatry clinic.
The unit serves as a hub for Norra Stockholms Psychiatry, collaborating with all outpatient clinics of the clinic and also with inpatient care in its role as an on-call and assessment team. The Mobile Emergency Unit also houses NSP's referral portal, which is responsible for the assessment and handling of all referrals sent to Norra Stockholms Psychiatry. The unit is also responsible for staffing the coordinator phone for patient admissions to inpatient care.
We are now looking for two healthcare assistants primarily for evening shifts and weekends.
Job Responsibilities
- Home visits providing support with medication intake and psychiatric assessments.
- Psychiatric advice via telephone from 8 AM to 10 PM.
Conditions
Permanent employment, full-time. Primarily evening shifts and weekends. Start date according to agreement.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained healthcare assistant with proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare, and you have experience and interest in psychiatric care. You need to have good knowledge of the region's organization and how psychiatry is structured regarding treatment interventions and levels of care. You have good collaboration skills and a flexible, solution-oriented approach to work. You also have a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:
- background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
