We are now looking for a dedicated and solution-oriented maintenance technician who wants to help ensure a safe and stable water production. Here you will have a key role where your technical knowledge makes a direct difference in people's everyday lives.

Your role

As a maintenance technician with us, you will work closely with operations and be responsible together with operations for ensuring the operational reliability of our facilities. You will work both preventively and remedially, with a clear focus on mechanical systems and components.

Your main tasks

• Troubleshooting, repair, and improvements of mechanical equipment
• Ongoing maintenance of pumps, valves, piping systems, and other machinery
• Participation in projects regarding modernization and optimization of the facility
• Documentation of completed work and updating of maintenance systems
• Collaborate closely with operations staff, engineers, and other maintenance organizations

We are collectively responsible for our facilities, and the tasks can vary in nature, from simpler tasks like cleaning equipment or clearing brush at an external station to more complex mechanical challenges.

We are looking for you

With a high school or post-secondary education in industry, mechanics, or equivalent. You have experience working in a production environment and are accustomed to mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and solving technical problems in operations. Experience from water and wastewater operations or process industry is an advantage. If you can weld, that is a strong merit.

You are a solution-oriented and collaborative person who enjoys practical work and finding the causes behind faults. You work in a structured manner and have an analytical or innovative approach that allows you to both solve problems and see improvement opportunities in equipment and work methods.

A driver's license (B) is required for the position, as well as good computer skills and proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Water production consists of 14 colleagues who together are responsible for the operation and maintenance of our facilities. Together, we form a team that always supports each other and helps where needed. Here we work flexibly and solution-oriented, with a clear common goal: to ensure safe and stable water for Västerås, Surahammar, and Hallstahammar.
