We are looking for a project manager for the Traffic Authority in Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

The Hässelby line consists of the stretch from the western landing of Traneberg Bridge to and including the Hässelby Strand station on the green line of the subway. The stretch, which was expanded during the 1940s and 1950s, is approximately 10 kilometers long, mostly runs above ground, and includes 12 stations and 24 bridges.

Parts of the Hässelby line's bridges and BEST facilities have previously been upgraded in stages. Remaining concrete bridges are beginning to reach their technical lifespan and require extensive measures to maintain proper performance. These measures will mostly be implemented during traffic closures in summer periods when the number of passengers is somewhat lower. Even during traffic, parts of the line will be upgraded. The coordinated upgrade includes addressing critical concrete bridges and replacing macadam along critical parts of the Hässelby line.

The role of a project manager is to lead and coordinate all activities and functions within a project. The project manager has a project team that usually consists of specialists in their respective fields. The project manager ensures that the project achieves set goals regarding time, cost, and quality. As a project manager at the authority, one must act based on the development goals; competent project executor, businesslike client, effective management with the passenger in focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement projects towards goals in accordance with established project specifications regarding scope, time, costs, and quality.
• Establish project specifications based on project orders.
• Ensure that the project is conducted in accordance with main processes and other guidelines, routines, and strategies.
• Ensure that the project adheres to the authority's safety management system and requirements for environment and working conditions. Receive and delegate further tasks regarding working environment and safety within the project.
• Represent the authority in financial matters and ensure that project funds are used appropriately through financial management such as budgeting and forecasting.
• Monthly status report to the sponsor and steering group.
• Collaborate with procurement leaders on contract and procurement issues.
• Be responsible for resource planning and management such as hiring consultants, project-specific adaptation of assignment specifications and requirement profiles, conducting project-specific introductions to project members, etc.
• Ensure that the project is handed over to the recipient and that deliveries are completed according to the project order.
• Close the project, compile experiences, and deliver the final report.
• Be responsible for coordination and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Create a project culture that harmonizes with the authority's values.

Requirements (NOTE, mandatory)

University degree in construction/infrastructure. (Not vocational school) At least 5 years of experience in project management in track environments. The experience must have been obtained in the last 12 years. Responsible for at least one approval process with the Traffic Authority in the last 3 years. At least 1 reference project in project management within BEST facilities. The experience must have been obtained in the last 3 years. (At least 9 years of experience working in investment/reinvestment projects in track environments. The experience must have been obtained in the last 15 years, of which the last 2 years must have been in the last 6 years.)

Meritorious

Hold track and tunnel authorization Cat 16. Documented experience of at least 2 BEST projects within the subway. Documented training in contract law AB 04/ABT 06.
