Bessemerskolan is a high school with approximately 1,000 students and 180 employees. We offer five university preparatory programs, seven vocational programs, four introductory programs, and adapted upper secondary school. There is also a national sports high school (RIG) with orienteering and national sports education programs (NIU) with bandy and floorball. Our programs are conducted in purpose-built facilities close to Sandviken's center, with a world-class school library and strong collaboration with the business community.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a vocational teacher in the Electrical and Energy Program, you will educate the electricians of the future. You will plan and implement teaching with a focus on both theory and practice, creating a safe and inspiring learning environment.

You contribute by:

• Developing students' vocational skills in electrical installation and industrial electrical engineering
• Planning and following up on teaching based on governing documents and program requirements
• Building good relationships with students and collaborating with colleagues in the program team
• Staying updated on industry developments and integrating this into teaching
• Strengthening collaboration with local companies for workplace-based learning (APL)

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to collaborate easily and build good relationships with both students and colleagues. Your professional experience is an important foundation, and we are looking for someone who wants to use it to teach and prepare young people for their future careers.

The role involves planning and organizing work in a structured way, with responsibility for lessons and students' development. Since both the school and the electrical industry are constantly changing, it is an advantage to be curious about new ideas and working methods and to want to actively contribute when changes occur.

The following is required for the position:

• Vocational teacher qualification or willingness to obtain it during employment
• Electrician education, either in installation or industry.
• Several years of experience in the electrical industry

It is advantageous if you have experience in both installation and industrial electrical engineering as well as good knowledge of local companies.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. We place great importance on personal suitability.
