Your Future Challenge

BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik is currently in an expansive phase due to billion-dollar deals. To meet the high demand, BAE Systems Hägglunds is now recruiting operational buyers for the operational purchasing function. The department currently consists of 26 dynamic and engaged employees.

Operational purchasing is responsible for purchasing production items for the Operations unit and serves as an interface with the vehicle planning and assembly functions. The work includes analysis of goals and resource planning proposals, as well as placing orders with suppliers to ensure that the right items are procured at the right time based on agreed lead times.

In the role of buyer, you will work with purchasing incoming materials for ongoing production, i.e., for our delivery projects and for our manufactured spare parts. This also includes handling complaints and maintaining close contact with production planners, strategic purchasing, and suppliers. You will be responsible for a number of suppliers and ensure that materials are available in production at the right time and in the right quantity.

Your Daily Tasks Include:

• Analyzing and ordering materials for our products with the support of our business system SAP.
• Monitoring order acknowledgments and deliveries to ensure they occur on time.
• Following up with suppliers.
• If necessary, rescheduling and managing changes to placed orders.
• Handling complaints and exemption requests to/from suppliers.

The position includes many points of contact, giving you a broad network both internally and externally.

The position is a permanent employment and is located in Örnsköldsvik.

Who You Are

You are a communicative and driven person with good collaboration skills. You thrive on having many things going on at the same time. You are structured and enjoy finding effective solutions. Your working method is methodical and systematic, and you make clear priorities in your work. We also want you to be interested in driving development and improvement of both yourself and our processes.

We prefer that you have a purchasing education from a vocational school and several years of experience in purchasing work and business systems like SAP. If you have a technical background, that is also a plus.

Good knowledge of the Office suite, as well as your ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English, should be very good.
