Construction Project Manager for Skellefteå Municipality

Skellefteå is in the midst of a societal transformation. The municipality is actively working to plan, build, and adapt its properties in line with changing needs and long-term development. To meet this development, the municipality is engaged in long-term planning and execution of construction and property projects that support the needs of its operations. The Property Department is part of the Support and Facilities Administration and is responsible for providing effective and sustainable local supply for the municipality's operations. As a construction project manager, you will belong to the project section, which consists of 21 employees with various technical competencies and shared responsibility for the execution of the municipality's construction projects.

We are now looking for a construction project manager who wants to contribute to development by leading and executing projects in Skellefteå Municipality.

YOUR ROLE

As a construction project manager, you have a central role in the execution of the municipality's construction and maintenance projects. You are responsible for planning, executing, and following up on projects in accordance with set goals for economy, time, and quality, and you apply a clear financial perspective in both decision-making and daily work.

You lead projects from order to completion and coordinate work between operations, consultants, contractors, and clients. The role includes applying construction law according to AB, ABT, and ABK, as well as ensuring that contracts, procurements, and execution are carried out in a correct and structured manner.

You work closely with other internal technical disciplines such as construction, HVAC, and electrical, contributing to well-functioning holistic solutions. The assignment requires good planning, structure, and the ability to manage multiple parallel projects in a project-driven organization.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a university degree focused on construction, management, and/or installation, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience. You have documented experience working on construction projects, which is an absolute requirement for the position.

You have a good understanding of economics and financial principles and can apply these in practice at all stages of the projects. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have basic knowledge of English. The role requires a B driver's license.

As a person, you are structured and goal-oriented, work according to clear processes, and ensure that tasks are completed within given time frames. You handle pressure and changes constructively and maintain a professional demeanor even in challenging situations. You have good communication skills and can adapt your message to different target groups. You are collaborative, unpretentious, and actively work to find solutions that benefit the common goal. At the same time, you are solution-oriented and have the ability to quickly identify and manage problems that arise during the projects.
