We are currently looking for a construction manager who wants to contribute to the Swedish Transport Administration's continued work on the Norrbotniabanan – one of Sweden's largest and most significant infrastructure investments.

The Swedish Transport Administration's area of operation, Major Projects, is responsible for driving some of the country's most extensive and complex infrastructure investments. As one of the largest builders in the Nordic region, the Swedish Transport Administration plays a central role in societal development and ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high quality.

About the role

In the role of construction manager, you will work closely with project management and be responsible for driving, coordinating, and following up on contracts during the production phase. You play an important role in the daily work by ensuring structure, progress, quality, and clear communication between the project's parties.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Supporting the project manager and following up on time, quality, and cost
• Maintaining ongoing contact with contractors and ensuring good progress
• Ensuring that contracts, requirements, permits, and regulations are followed
• Following up on work, documentation, and the contractor's self-checks
• Identifying risks, proposing measures, and reporting to project management
• Participating in inspections, reviews, and handovers
• Contributing to collaboration and coordination between adjacent contracts

This assignment requires a personal vehicle as business trips to Robertsfors occur approximately 3–5 times per week.

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. At least 5 years of experience as a site manager, construction manager, sub-project manager, project manager, design manager, assignment manager, or equivalent for assignments related to construction contracts in road and/or railway. The work experience should not be older than 10 years (At least 75% employment rate per year of experience).
2. At least 3 years of the above experience must be as a construction manager in land projects. As well as at least one approved reference assignment.
3. Work experience in AMA Anläggning 20 or later edition.
4. Work experience in General Terms, AB04.
5. Driving license B and access to a personal vehicle.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start no later than March 2026 but can begin from February 2026 for up to 24 months from the date the contract comes into effect.

Option: The Swedish Transport Administration can unilaterally extend the contract up to three times, one year at a time, under the same conditions as the original contract.

Scope: The estimated workload for the assignment is 90-100 percent of annual working time, amounting to 1,700 hours.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is Umeå; by agreement with the client, the resource has the opportunity to work at the project's office in Skellefteå. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's office/project 5 days a week.
