About the Position
Do you want to make a difference every day? At the short-term accommodation Smedjebacken, we work with person-centered care and support for the elderly, focusing on safety, participation, and meaningful everyday life.
We are now looking for a committed nursing assistant for full-time, permanent weekends who wants to help develop our operations and contribute with joy and innovative thinking.
The tasks involve being support and help to the residents living at the short-term accommodation Smedjebacken. Support and assist in the activities that the resident needs help with in daily life, to enable them to continue living a meaningful and active life. Assist the resident in activities, participate in the establishment of implementation plans and follow-ups, case management, report and document in our support systems, perform delegated healthcare tasks, and participate in team meetings and staff meetings. Establish good contacts with relatives and other important persons for the individual, contribute with innovative thinking and joy at work, and take responsibility for one or more areas of responsibility that you are passionate about and want to help develop the workplace.
Working permanent weekends means that you work either Friday-Saturday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday-Monday every weekend and have 1-2 regular work shifts (other weekdays including staff meetings) per month. The job requires that you are a person who can take great responsibility and be self-leading and confident in your knowledge. Your workplace is Smedjebacken, but during resource shifts, you may be moved within the planning area.
Are You the One We Are Looking For?
We are looking for someone who sees a good approach as a given, is flexible as a person, and sees their workplace as a team where everyone helps each other.
We prefer that you have a degree from a nursing program and passing grades in Swedish 1 (A) or Swedish as a second language and social studies 1 (A) or equivalent older education. You are confident in yourself and in your professional role as a nursing assistant. A requirement is that you have completed an approved healthcare education for delegation of medication and insulin. A driver's license is a requirement.
You enjoy taking responsibility, working independently, and making decisions within the framework of your assignment. In your work, you protect the residents' integrity, participation, and self-determination and have a respectful and professional approach. You are attentive, responsible, and have the ability to adapt your working methods according to the individual needs of the residents. You see opportunities instead of obstacles and have a strong commitment to providing good and quality care and service.
Experience or education in short-term care, insulin, and tube feeding knowledge is an advantage. Further education or courses in dementia and palliative care are also advantageous. You are used to documenting and have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
