We are looking for a specialist physician in general medicine for our medical clinic with the opportunity to work full-time or part-time.

Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Health Center Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers in the evenings and weekends, and a General Medicine Training Center. We conduct a broad primary care operation where we offer care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

The health center is easily accessible in the Hageby district with good connections to the rest of Norrköping and currently has about 15,000 registered patients. We have well-functioning, well-equipped, and pleasant premises, as well as a development-inspired working method and conduct a broad primary care operation. We are proud to have a regional profile characterized by diversity where we meet patients of all ages with many different care needs.

At the health center, there are medical consultations, specialist nurse consultations, nursing consultations, elderly care consultations, child health care, counseling consultations, dietitian services, podiatry, and laboratory services. We also take responsibility for some nursing homes and home care in the listing area. We are about 65 employees who enjoy working together in an open work climate. Here we work together with collaboration and respect for each other's competencies, our goal is a work climate where everyone has varied tasks and can develop in their professional role.

Job Description

We are in a phase of development and need more colleagues to meet patients' needs and purposefully steer towards improved and more efficient working methods. We have specialists, ST-physicians at different levels, and several junior doctors. We also have our passionate senior employees who are happy to work and share their expertise.

Supervision of students and training physicians is an important part of the work, as is engagement in the health center's development and quality work. The health center's physicians also participate in primary and backup on-call duties for the eastern part of the county during on-call hours.

About You

You are a specialist physician in general medicine and have previous experience working in primary care. You have Swedish medical licensure (attached to the application) and Swedish language skills corresponding to level Swedish C1. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other organizations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. A valid B driver's license is required.

You are confident in your professional role, flexible, and easy to collaborate with. We want you to become part of our culture where we help each other and ask questions to solve problems together. You contribute to a good work climate with a positive attitude. You have good communication skills towards patients, colleagues, and other organizations. You are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work.
