Hematology Nurse

The Hematology Clinic at Linköping University Hospital provides highly specialized care in hematology and has a strong research focus.

We treat and investigate hematological diseases of all kinds, including both malignant diseases and non-malignant conditions that require more advanced treatment or investigation.

We wish for you to complete the contact nurse training within the first few years if you do not already have it. Job Description

The clinic has a very close collaboration with our inpatient department, doctors, nursing assistants, and paramedics at the clinic (pharmacists, dietitians, physiotherapists, and social workers) as our patients' journey during their illness often requires both outpatient and inpatient care.

As a nurse in the outpatient/daycare, you will have treatment consultations, sample collections, telephone counseling, and phone visits as a contact nurse.

About You

You are a licensed nurse. A specialization degree and/or experience in our disease areas is an advantage. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone who is calm, secure, and has personal maturity. You have good collaboration skills and can work independently with your tasks in the team. You have a good ability to structure/plan your day, prioritize, and lead yourself and others. You understand your role in the team, communicate clearly, and consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions. Education and experience are important, but we also place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As we work in a process-oriented manner, it is crucial that you are positive towards development work and can see opportunities in changed working methods.

We are looking for nurses for 2 positions, one of which is a permanent position and the other is a longer temporary position until August 31, 2027, with good opportunities for the position to be converted to a permanent position.

The position you are applying for involves placement at the hematology outpatient clinic with primary working hours during the day, Monday to Friday, as well as some weekend shifts in the hematology department as agreed.
