At Firefly, we work with advanced fire protection and fire prevention systems for industrial environments worldwide. We are now looking for a structured and driven Operational Buyer who wants to contribute to ensuring that our material flows operate seamlessly and with high quality.
With us, you will have a central role where technology, business, and collaboration meet. You will work closely with production, finance, and suppliers and become an important part of our growing purchasing team.
About the role
As an Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for the entire daily purchasing process – from analyzing purchasing proposals to placing orders and following up on deliveries. You will manage ongoing order flows, discrepancies, invoices, and supplier dialogues, ensuring that production always has the right materials in place at the right time. The role involves many contact points and requires structure, problem-solving skills, and good communication.
Your main responsibilities
Execute the entire chain of operational purchases: analyze purchasing proposals, place orders, follow up on deliveries
Handle discrepancies and delivery issues
Collaborate with receiving and finance
Ensure current and accurate delivery status for production
Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers
To succeed in this role, we would like you to have
At least three years of experience in operational purchasing within manufacturing industry
Experience with technical products and environments with high demands
Familiarity with negotiation and supplier contacts
Experience with international supply chains
Knowledge and skills
Good technical understanding
Logical and analytical working method
Ability to set requirements and follow up
Meritorious: ability to read technical drawings
Very good Swedish and English in speech and writing
Education
At least upper secondary education. Post-secondary education in technology, logistics, or economics is an advantage.
