Responsibilities and Duties

As an ILS engineer focusing on logistics analysis and availability, you will work on the analysis part within integrated logistics support and contribute to ensuring high availability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for advanced marine systems throughout their lifecycle. The role is central to the development and maintenance of ships and marine platforms, where you create foundations through structured analyses that influence both technical solutions, maintenance concepts, and long-term business decisions. The work spans the entire lifecycle – from design and new construction to modifications, upgrades, and maintenance in operational service. The focus is on logistics analysis within ILS, where you conduct and coordinate analyses of reliability, maintenance, spare parts, and lifecycle costs. The results are used as decision support in projects and must be applicable in real operations, which places high demands on both technical understanding and the ability to translate theory into practical solutions. The role combines deep technical analysis with more operational elements, such as working with technical documentation, structuring and quality assurance of data, and ensuring correct system and component information. You are expected to work independently, drive analyses from start to finish, and simultaneously contribute to developing methods, processes, and structure within the ILS area. This is a role for you who want to work with ILS and logistics analysis in practice, in technically complex systems where the analysis makes a clear difference, and who also wants to influence how future support and availability concepts are shaped.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Conduct reliability, maintenance, and lifecycle cost analyses
• Develop maintenance plans and size spare parts
• Ensure that analysis results are integrated into a functioning whole for the customer
• Work closely with systems engineers, designers, and project teams
• Communicate with customers, users, and suppliers
• Contribute to the development of methods and processes within ILS and logistics analysis

Your Profile

You are a senior in logistics analysis and ILS and want to use your expertise in an environment where the analysis has a direct impact on the operational availability of systems. You have a strong lifecycle perspective and understand how proactive ILS work contributes to robust and available systems. The role requires that you have:

• Engineering degree from a college or university
• Several years of documented experience in logistics analysis within ILS, focusing on the analysis part, such as maintenance and reliability analyses as well as spare parts optimization.
• Experience working according to established standards and processes within the ILS area
• Experience working with analysis tools related to logistics analysis and ILS
• Excellent ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• Good understanding of the lifecycle perspective and how analysis work within logistics analysis and ILS contributes to availability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

We consider it advantageous if you also have:

• Experience developing or implementing new methods, techniques, or processes within ILS
• Experience leading, mentoring, or supporting other engineers, for example through mentorship
• Experience working in international collaborative projects or defense-related activities
• Knowledge of the ASD suite or parts of it

You are development-oriented and curious, with a genuine interest in improving methods and finding smarter solutions.
